My story

I have spent decades paddling around in rivers and creeks.

From a very young age, freshwater fish and aquatic life have been my passion.

I have created countless amazing, natural displays using artificial rock - indistinguishable from reality - in pods, aquariums and reptile displays. These award-winning creations have been created for, and grace, all manner of situations from aquarium shows and private homes, through to large-scale commercial displays and government offices.

I have now translated my passion into words to promote and educate the community about native Australian fish. I’m particularly keen on engaging children with wondrous tales of his fishy friends, and the beauty of our fresh water ecosystems.

By opening our eyes, minds and heart to our aquatic environment, I hope to foster respect, and encourage protection of our entire planet, by focusing on one of the most critical aspects of life - clean, fish water.

“To all my teacher friends, or parents, who are looking for a lovely story book about our native fauna and how we can help them survive the damage we do to the environment, here is the book for you. 'I believe in Rainbows' by my great friend Steve, is the first in a coming series about the adventures of Rodney the Rainbow fish, a tiny but very important part of our freshwater creek and river systems. Get it for your classroom, your school or your home library! Message him to find out how to get a copy or three.”
